This is a gesture-controlled robot. An accelerometer senses the spatial orientation of the hand and transmits it to a robot using Zigbee. The robot responds to this signal by moving in the direction, axial to the hand inclination. This bot is inspired from the super-villain ‘Magneto’, who can manipulate metals by controlling the magnetic-field. This project secured first place twice in Techfest-2012, which is Asia’s largest technical festival, held annually at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay(IITB).
